Bernie Sanders & Progressives Use Trump’s Healthcare Failure to Push Single-Payer
The GOP’s healthcare bill went down in flames recently, and although this is a huge victory for progressives, it doesn’t change the fact that the Affordable Care Act is broken. So Bernie Sanders is capitalizing on this by pushing for a Medicare For All bill with other progressive Democrats. Representative John Conyers introduced H.R. 676, “The Expanded & Improved Medicare For All Act,” that has gained more than 70 cosponsors including Jamie Raskin, Tulsi Gabbard, Pramila Jayapal, Keith Ellison, Raul Grijalva, and Elijah Cummings.
